Here at ASpire we believe that intervention for both the young person and parents/carers is necessary to ensure the needs of the family are met as a whole. This is done with a family centered ‘holistic’ approach, we aim to help and support the parents/carers in a variety of ways, one to one family support, enrollment onto an ASpire Parenting Programme or through liaising with other agencies. ASpire will work with the hardest to reach families, over the years we have offered intervention to families with multi-agency involvement and helped support them during the CAF process.
Our Parenting Programmes
ASpire Parenting – A six week programme (one hour per session) focusing on key areas such as developing childrens self-esteem and confidence; improving behaviour as well as ideas on how to build stronger parent-child relationships.
Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) – This is a 13 week course (3 hours per session). SFSC aims to help families develop and promote: strong ethnic and cultural roots; positive parent-child relationships; a range of life skills; self esteem, self discipline and social competence; and ability to access community resources.
Our aim is not to offer solutions but to provide guidance and best practice methods in dealing with issues such as: Self esteem and confidence of parents in their capability to raise their children. This will ensure a happier, better adjusted family with better interpersonal relationships and ultimately an improved family environment.
