Aspire offer many workshops that can be tailored to suit particular issues that may need addressing within a school or community setting. These workshops are fun and interactive way of getting an important message across, we use a variety of techniques, such as role-play, drama, worksheets, art and crafts, games and story telling.
Diversity
Themes: cultural differences, racism, stereotypes, ethnicity, family dynamics, respect, disabilities and gender.
Social Skills
Themes: listening, taking turns, sharing, helping each other, being nice, friendships, being polite, following instruction, co-operating.
Peer Support
Themes: An intensive training course to set up a peer mediation group, to empower the children to solve disputes, offer support to each other and improve the relationships in the school.
Transition
Focus on both year 2 & 6 pupils. Themes: discussion, storytelling and role-play. For year 6 sessions there is a more in-depth look at transition to year 7 with two sessions offering parental attendance and post move sessions.
Bullying
Themes: differences, conflict, why people bully others, where it happens, what we can do about it, communication, friendship groups, discussions, looking after yourself, standing up to bullies in the right way.
Respect
Themes: friendship, being positive with each other, working together, positive outcomes, social groupings and respect.
